(MAC): I'm concerned with Reducing Carbon emissions by utilizing the suns energy and converting it into electricity rather than using fossil fules
(PC) : I'M concerned with Reducing Carbon emission and I can do that simply and easily through carbon trading
(MAC) : By Reducing I'm meant really, diminishing the number of carbon out put, rather than just displacing it
(PC) Let me show you, by not cutting down clearing some of a rain forest, We move to a different location an build our factory some place else and gain credit to emit. And lower our carbon foot print.

(mac) But, that's really not reducing anything, its just, moving it...

This is an appropriation of a commercial for awareness. The ideas is to appropriate well branded marketing techniques for informational purposes (don't confuse this with an infomercial...) rather than capital gain. But is it art, and if this is so, what kind? This an interesting question, given my new consideration in formalism. In this case, the art is not the product. The art here is intent as through reclamation of ADverstisement space (ADvocacy space rather ADVERTISEMENT SPACE) This isn't to question whether or not it is new, it's to ask if it is art. To that, I answer yes. This is clearly a direct reference to the campaign done by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. And more importantly, under the precedence set by predication of art movements i.e. : Dada, Flux, and events such as Happenings. Progressive modernism is about the "who" and how of "art" rather than the "what". This brings back the artist to dictate what is art. Using the sovereignty granted under the title of artist* there is an important distinction based on the context of work whether or not it it is recognized by the artistic community.
